Once I met a man

I once met a man

He was a good man

He danced to the light of the moon

And he danced in the blazing sun

He sat by the stream as it flowed

and he slept in a hut all alone.

I once met a man

He sang to the birds in the trees

And he swam with the fish in the lake

He runs with zebras in the maze

Then he studied the fly on his windowpane

Oh yes, I once met a man

He spoke sweet words as if like music

He sang sweets song as the melody of rain

He laughed like it was his last

He cried as if he was paid to

Everything he did, he did with such joy

He loved, he lived, he laughed

He sang, he danced, he cried

But everything he did he did with such joy.

Truly I once met a man

And that man was you.
